Top Replacement Shops
Hello all!
So i have these nasty cracks/slits in the plastic rear window of my top and i was going to replace it with the highly recommended Robbins top...
i was gonna try to order the top and do this with a friend...
but...
1. i didn't want to put him through 10hrs of labor on a weekend
2. i have to order it through a shop anyways...
so the question is... i looked up on the Robbins website which shops around Houston can order and install this top...
just wanted to know if anyone has heard of any of these and if you have, which one would u recommend i go to?

I was wondering the same thing myself.
Is it that difficult of an install?
I was reading on one site (that sells them) and they mentioned a heavy duty staple gun, spray adhesive, etc. etc. and I wasn't sure about all that stuff...

the staple gun mentioned is a rivet gun, usually about 20bucks at stores. i didnt use any spray adhesive during my install and everything else is straight forward. Hardest part for me was the space to work with lol. Aside from that just line up the soft top and place the rivets in place/hardware
lol good luck.... by far the hardest thing I've had to do to the s2000(and will never do again
).. and i bought mine complete from Tom. All I had to do was bolt on the frame, and that took my friend and I about 7 hours (removing old top and bolting on new one). I had to go to Curt's in the end just to get the top aligned correctly. But in the end, its all worth it

I did my robbins cloth top myself 2 years back. The install was pretty straight forward. It's not difficult but it is time consuming and you only need the second person sometimes, but not the entire time. I'd say if you are comfortable changing your own oil then the top replacement shouldn't be hard at all. Just take your time because there are many things that if done "out of sequence" could be a p.i.t.a. to redo. Just PM me if you have any questions. And yes I called most of those shops you have listed. In the end I was glad I the install myself. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
