I wouldn't consider it spam.. I have been a Vendor here for a little over 2 years. Just wanted to get the word out!

I looked up and down this forum, didn't see anything where I could announce this to.

But if you think its spam thats fine. Sorry to disappoint; your more then welcome

to take this thread off.

Just trying to show some love to the S2KI community

I think 5% is fair. If you consider the small margins internet based retailers live off of, 5% off their advertised price is pretty strong.

He's just getting the word out about his site.

Why would you think he is spamming? he is a sponsor, he has a right to post his website all over this forum as he pleases.

I consider postings like this as spam because a.) they can rely on the banners and ads that already clutter the site up and b.) they really add no value to the forum

I thought the same thing until I realized he was a sponsor. Random posts touting web pages for speed shops = spam in my mind. But, since he was a sponsor, I knew that my opinion probably wouldn't be supported by most, so I didn't originally reply.

If we actually had a good sponsors list with links to web sites, phone numbers, s2ki usernames for the online contact, a short list of products that each sponsor is authorized to sell, etc, then it wouldn't be necessary for sponsors to post this kind of thread. Sadly, that's not the case.

I agree with mxt77. Even a site as crappy as Honda-Tech has a page with all the sponsors listed and links to their sites. This would be a much more convenient way to advertise.
