I'm not sure if Marcucci is still doing these or not, you might PM him. If I cannot do it myself Marcucci is the only person I trust with my S. Highly qualified and well respected ...at least by me..

I'll do it for $450, but only after I retire in August.

Just musing: I would like to install the gasket, too. If there are several people considering it, maybe we could arrange a group install. Safety, and knowledge, in numbers, you think?

I wasn't going to do the other stuff -- is a thermostat and fan switch replacement really helpful? Has anybody just removed the thermostat entirely?

Here's the link for the install article: http://www.s2000.org/mods/insulator/

I've seen this done and it's not an easy job, especially if the engine is older.

I installed the gasket on my RSX, and I can confidently say that I'll be paying someone to do it for my S2K. What a humbling experience that was.

it's a lot harder than it looks. the bolts on the intake manifold next to the firewall are a pain in the ass. Not to mention the one down above the alternator. I went to install mine and realized I did not have a swivel socket that would reach, so it's still sitting on the shelf.

but i'd do the install for you probably. Probably be about $150 for everything. I'd have to take a look at the manual again and see what's incolved for thermostat and all that. PM me if you're interested.

I was planning to install this myself since I have a auto shop with the right tools but even with the right tools I know it is a pain to install. The labor on this thing is whats keeping me from buying it.
