I bought my tires at Tirerack and they shipped them from Sheveport to Muenster in 2 days! I bought them online and used 3-5 day shipping.

Then I went to wal-mart and had them mounted for 24 bucks.

I saved $100 on 2 Bridgestone RE-O1R tires that I was quoted for on 'Discount' Tire by buying online.

The only hassle I had to deal with was that I had to put one tire in the trunk and one tire in the passenger seat. It was worth the trouble

I've gone through Al at Discount Tire for the past few years. He does the Tirerack/DiscountDirct price, plus a reasonable mount/balance. Of course, you're also at the mercy of whichever tech actually performs the work (EgoThreat's broken center caps, Doug's scratched wheels...) Honestly, my impression is that tire shops are like like body shops. One person will go and get great service/prices, however another person gets crap at the same place.

That said, I believe Cosmos uses an NTB up in Lewisville that he likes a lot.

Don't go to the Lewisville NTB anymore, nobody that is any good works there anymore.

The new NTB in Grapevine is where a couple of the old workers are at now. This is the one that is off of 121, and has the in-ground alignment racks for lowered cars Brandon, the mechanic there, does a great job on alignments too.

Al Cavan emigrated to the fabulous state of Oklahoma, where DT granted him his own retail establishment.

yeah.. i read about the guy in the sticky moving to oklahoma.

tirerack suggested ntb in carrolton for $14.50 mount/balance for a 55 series tire..

i used to use the discount on midpark and 75 but tire prices went up and im not paying $300 for two front tires mounted and balanced on some 16" wheels.. ridiculous..

james im gonna order the tires today and we'll see if i can come up there one day when you're working and get them done.. tires on the car now are starting to show cord due to prev owner cutting the springs and the shitty alignment
