That's one way, but much easier is just pulling both driver and passenger fuses for the power windows.
I prefer to use my mechanics skills to take things apart.

Bring it to Louisiana. For $10 and a coke you can get almost anything from herpes to free cable

if you just want to get the inspection sticker, I know a place where you can get one no matter the condition of the car.
PM me if you want to just get it over with =)

chopper's right. when i was a tech and did inspections, people did that all the time. we knew what they were doing, but it covered our ass, so we were fine with it.

the actual glass is not 100% translucent, so the tint should always read darker than it is. that being said, i don't know if the law is "total light filtering percentage" or just "percentage filtered by just the tint." i'll ask my wife tonight, she's a lawyer; not a traffic court lawyer, but she might know where to look or who to ask.
so if the car failed because of windows and i roll back in top down and with unhooked switches they arent gonna be like "uhh so the only issue you had last time was that the windows were too dark and now the windows magically dont work?"

they can't prove you did anything, just bring it back and say you failed previously

they have a copy of the signed paper showing the exact reason i failed dude

i dunno if its in the system specifically for "window tint" or if it just says "safety inspection fail"

eh, i'd just try it, it'd cost more to remove/reinstall than to just go to some other place, right

i found out that the flag falls off after 15 days, so i can just wait 2 weeks and then reinspect it somewhere else, but if i can just take it back and disable the windows i'll do that.

trying to get confirmation

yeah, it's worth a shot. they might call BS on you, might not. worst case scenario, you need to go to a different place and have them inspect it.
