Default Bankston Honda Service Dept.

Is this service dept any good? I am bring it in on Monday morning for warranty work on the timing chain tensioner. It's been making the buzzing noise for a few months now.

The service advisor said they would need to keep it for a few hours to diagnose and confirm it's the TCT, then order the part, then perform the repair. I'd have to leave the car for a few days. Of course, wonderful Honda does not offer a loaner.

So, is my car going to come out worse than before? I've heard the TCT noise can't cause catastrophic damage to the engine, right? I'm hesitant to get some clown service tech burning up my clutch, tires, and not doing the TCT repair correctly causing damage to the engine.

If it were me I'd take it to Goodson or one of the newer dealerships up north. Stay away from the John Eagle stores (the one in Frisco is a decent one) or Freeman stores...their service Depts are very low quality and they use very cheap equipment in their service shops...they also have some of the worst Techs in the area...

QUICKAG, you should bring it up to Richardson....I know the service manager , he's from England, and doesn't screw around.
