Default Built head

Hi guys! I have been dealing with misfires for a while now off and on. I have finally come to the conclusion that I am going to either get my head rebuilt and beefed up or get a new engine. I am not very savvy with internal components nor do I know who or where to go with this. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a shop that is reputable for head work in the DFW area? What would my options be at this point? I have a non blinking cel which was originally for misfire in 1,2, and random. As of yesterday it is now 1,2,3,4, and random! So far I have tried:

-new spark plugs
-new coil packs
-new valve cover gasket and tube seals
-fuel injector cleaner
-valve adjustment

I only have a couple things left to try before investing a few grand for motor work. 1) new injectors 2) new sensor or 3) ?

My car is N/A with I,H,TP,E and vafc with tune by Tony at T1.

I have been quoted by URGE designs $3100-$3500 for headwork ($1900), a new head($600-800), springs/valves/retainers ($600-$800).

Anyone with any suggestions would be appreciated!

Im in North Dallas.

If I went through URGE, I would have them source a head from somewhere and then not worry about removing mine and shipping etc...

I am also looking at MVP Motorsports which I have bought parts from and had them install my exhaust. They are located in between Dallas and Ft. Worth, but I have not gotten a quote from them yet.

Ur in the right direction, something not right if you replace new spark plugs -new coil packs -new valve cover gasket and tube seals -fuel injector cleaner -valve adjustment. Check compression, maybe a nee head gasket.

get the injectors measured and ultrasonic-cleaned, RC-engineering does that. Replaced those o-rings too
consumer type fuel injector cleaners does nothing in most cases.

Check your cylinder compression and or perform a leak-down test, stop throwing parts on it before you pinpoint the problem.

First thing that came up on the Honda tech site at work was talking about injectors. Obviously I don't have your car here to check, but could be a good place to start. I also looked at random misfire and it talks about fuel pressure. If you want to pay some dealer fees, we have a really good tech that could probably figure out the issue, but I know most of you guys on here hate us Honda dealers lol.

Hi Eric! Not the dealer so much, as the associated cost of repairs. But being a Honda the repairs are minimal compared to some other makes I could mention.

Steven,

Honestly??? We hate the dealers. Because most are less than forthright. (it does help that we have cars with little need for repairs)

Eric is one of the bright points in that he owns one of our cars, understands the nuances, and can help keep us from getting bent over.
