[QUOTE=Clovis,Oct 22 2008, 08:15 AM] Yeah, I would say that for your first autocross that you did better than "pretty good"!

I'm not sure, I don't have a clam that spontaneously combusts upon cone wall contact, I guess Canyon red is just tougher than Storm Ti With 8 runs there's no reason not to scrap all but 3 runs, all it takes is 1 clean/lucky run. I guess that's what SCCA does to you.

R comps or not I don't think he was on stock class suspension and I know he was on much wider wheels so it's not really a good comparison from BSP/SM2 to BS (or even from BS to AS alone). I also don't think it was his first autocross...or at least that's what I overheard.
He still did a great job driving, regardless of his setup. All that work means nothing if he didn't know how to extract the most out of his setup -- which he did.

Sounds like you're a little scared to me.
...Maybe a wager should be made

You're a real expert at making wagers you're not a part of aren't ya And when he gets within even 2 seconds of me then I'll start worrying. In the meantime I'll let him be coy and play his little game with you guys.
Better than backing down from a bet that you would've won anyways Next time I autocross, I'll be sure to be part of that wager too

What game tho? You seem to be going a little further out of your way than usual to let him know he's "not" that fast...that strikes me as odd, that's all.

Or maybe I'm reading things wrong?

Nothing personal Cosmo...

But you're right. The big picture is, he isn't classed properly to be fast at an SCCA event. But last time I checked the biggest influence to how fast you are remains the driver - and he did that and shows potential. No matter how much you want to say he's not fast, I think everyone else sees that he does have potential.

2 current SCCA competitors have come out and said it themselves...Why do you need to continually come out to say that he's "not that fast?" What good does that do? :dunno:

With all the talking going on here, I don't think I could even make it move...

Hopefully next year I'll show up, though.

The Preludes have a double wishbone layout with a coil-over shock setup...the strut doesn't adj the camber.

You'll have to get adj. upper wishbones for aggressive camber adjustments I think. Someone w/ a Prelude background would know better than I though?
I just want to dial in a few degrees when I get to the auto-X - and then dial it back to stock before I leave. There's no way to do this, is there?

With all the highway driving I do, the insides of my s2k tires got trashed quick, (way too quick) when I ran autox camber on the road.
