With the turbo I'm thinking the 4.77's are overkill and a bit unneccessary. FYI mine do whine, and one of the seals needs to be fixed/replaced.

Yes, had I known when I got these that I was going to go turbo, I wouldn't have gotten them.

The big issue is the whine. They shouldn't be making noise if they were set up properly. Did you install the ring and pinion?

I finally gave up on putting gears in the Miata cause I couldn't find any where in town that would do it.

While it is out take is someplace and have it checked!

Todd installed them, twice in fact, and he assured me they are fine. He actually "fixed" the seal once, supposedly it just wasn't seated correctly? You'd have to ask him for specifics. As for the whine, its been there since the install over a year ago, and it only makes it under light throttle.

I don't really drive my car enough nor care enough to measure my car's gas mileage. Even if I did and it were shitty it would more likely be from having turbo/larger injectors and what not. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that if you were to keep your same driving habits it would be the same, if not better gas mileage.
