We don't have to wait for the next meet to go driving. What is your favorite stretch of nearby road. I have a few in mind. What is yours?

Since there are precious few decent drives in North Texas it would be a great value to have the good ones listed or mapped once we get a web page up. Then all would benefit even when we don

Agreed, I remember seeing something about "great drives in North Texas" or something to that effect on Paul Dippel's old page. However, nothing was ever linked. Does anyone know what drives or roads he had in mind?

Cedar Mills Marina is close to my house. I know of a lot of good roads to drive from here into the Plano area. Here are some suggestions:
Bewteen Hwy 377 and Hwy 289 (Preston Rd.) Gunter to Tioga on FM 121 (not Hwy 121.) Curvey with good speed. One very long fast curve. Also, east of 289 is nice too.
Also between 377 and 289 is FM 902 (or is it 903?). This has a lot of tight turns.
From Hwy 380 between McKinney and Denton, north on FM 1385 (look for it on a map first.) One section of the road (where it's usually a corn field), you can reach speeds in the high 140's (mine 146) as long as no one else is coming. Note: this road has no shoulders and is narrow and sometimes bumpy, but won't damage your car.

once i get enough free time to get the new north texas site going i'd like to take everyones favorite routes.. or at least some of the good ones and post it. it would also be fun if we could map out a long drive for one of the meets.. like they did in austin.. hopefully a lil' more organized though.. and hopefully after i pick up my stook in may .. don't think the civic would be able to keep up w/ everyone.
