Default Front lower ball joint questions.

Hello everybody, semi-new S2000 owner here. I have a couple of questions for whoever has changed the front lower ball joints on the S2000.
  • Where did you buy your ball joints from?
  • Did anybody go about doing it without the ball joint removal tool?
  • Any other tips in this process would be great as I'll be doing it myself.

Thanks!

Hey,

I actually bought mine oem. If you know anybody with a dealers license, you can get a pretty good discount.

Although it is possible, I would not recommend doing it without the tool. The tool makes it really easy. I've seen some crazy ways to do it however I am not one to chance that LOL. I would assume you can rent the tool from oreillys or auto zone and then return it to get your money back in full.

The ball joint is the same set up as a honda accord, civic, and integra.

Here you go my friend....

We added adjustables on my car and it only took a hammer.

Hit up 00mugens2 as he did mine and it was simple with no issues.
I ordered the buddyclubs with the RCA and they seem good

Thanks for the responses pmptx and s2ks2000!

s2ks2000: Do you know the part number for the ball joint by any chance? If so, I'd really appreciate it.

pmptx: I believe I came across the Buddy Club ball joints, not sure if they were rears or fronts, but they looked shiny and expensive.

They were 300 for the pair, so not cheap but not crazy, but one of mine had been demolished from a prior removal.

Hey pmptx, are those the upper or lower ones that are adjustable?

Oh I have no clue my friend. I threw the package away after I installed the new ones. I believe honda parts will give you the part number though if needed.

Lower and adjustable through 4 holes. I could get an additional 3degrees on top of the almost 2 stock. I opted to add about 2 degrees and ause 1 degree or so of stock. I don;t see myslef ever going more than -4 degrees of camber

Sweeet! That is pretty cool. What is your camber settings at right now front and rear. I am currenlty at -3.5 which I feel is pretty ridiculous. I just purchased a set of BBS LM's from japan. They'll be here on the 15th of August! Hopefully I can increase those numbers closer to maybe -2 and run a wider tire.
