I hate Allen cops
I got a ticket a week ago in Dallas for expired inspection. I paid for it today with a money order. I head to work not 30 minutes after dropping it off in the mail, I get pulled over by an Allen cop. I show him the receipt and previous citation. He still gave me a ticket.
Although I'm not as pissed as a coworker should be. He got a ticket for expired registration, and he had the sticker in his car, and still got a ticket. edit: In his car, not affixed to the window.

So let me get this straight, you got a ticket for expired inspection and were still driving around with an expired inspection when you were stopped again?
Of course he gave you another ticket, you had fair warning that you needed to get your car inspected. Showing him the receipt and previous citation probably insured you got the second ticket.
But I also hate most cops. I've known plenty of them and they all seem to have a napoleon complex.

I know. This is just a rant. I know I'm not supposed to drive with an expired inspection, even if I just got a ticket. Assuming you did take it in to a shop to be fixed, it could possibly take a couple days for a part to come in.
