I need a claybar!
I ran around the Richardson area today trying to find a freaking claybar at autozone etc lol. Does anybody know a local parts store that has some? I just need the claybar itself and not the whole kit. I found the mothers kit but wow 17 dollars for a claybar the size of a business card! I remember when they use to carry the little blue ones for like 8 bucks alone.
Are there any specialty shops around here that carries clay bars?

I asked the detail section about Art clay and they said dont use it since your taking a chance that there might be sand in the bar itself which could wreck your paintjob.
Since when were claybars 17 bux? Jeez I remember buying them for 6 dollars a yr ago.

If you buy the acrylic clay, which is all Mothers and the other is, you won't find sand. As a matter of fact you shouldn't find sand in any of them since it isn't made from sand.
I have used it for years and I got the tip from the English Paint. They said their customers, paint and body shops, had used it for years.
That is where Mothers and the others got the idea, paint and body shops.
I buy a huge wad for $3 which gives me a several big pieces which makes the job go much faster.
All the lube is is a dilute soap and water. I use Zaino wash and water.
