I'm getting ready and psyched about the upcoming John Eagle Honda Weekend at Texas World Speedway. I was in Houston Mon-Tues and stopped by John Eagle and bought my helmet; Kevlar!!!

I was wondering who if any of the North Texas crowd was travelling to College Station for the big event. I will be in the Houston area that week, so I won't be able to convoy down, but I thought we might want to have an impromptu meeting at the track. Maybe we could encourage additional membership if we gave out cards (are cards available yet?)

Al, a number of us will be there.. and we will meet up just cause there is only so much room to spread out. If it is like last time the instructors will get a garage, the people with two cars will squat in garage space the night before (early arrival only counts if you can park in a spot), so most of us will be scattered out in the open.. but February should be better than being out in the sun last July.

Did you get your car inspected while in Houston? If not you are in the same boat as the others from North Texas, need a very early start on Saturday because you have to get inspection before running.

I will be there on Friday evening like many so maybe we can hook up then.

I had my car inspected back in December when I signed up at John Eagle (I work in Houston 1-2 days/week), therefore I'm good to go.

Since I will be in SE Texas on Thur-Fri, 8-9 Feb, I will go to TWS on Friday night (09-Feb) to attend 7:00 pm "first time students" meeting, and thus get a jump on the Saturday morning festivities.

Will they have a problem with having a bra on my car? The obvious protection issue is desireable, but I can also easily ID my car in group photos, etc. I doubt I'll ever be in front.

Had a great time despite the weather not cooperating.

I did leave after only one run Sunday since the track was very wet for the second run group and I was without an oil filler cap. Anybody stay for the late runs?

Thanks for the pics! I'm sorry to hear about the car...and the "track-rate" on a nice oil cap.

You could have borrowed mine for your runs.

We did get a s2k line for a photo op after run 3. I hope to get/see some pics. There were a few digital cameras.
