Happy new year everyone!

I had an accident a few months back, and I think there is still a problem with my back right brake. either the rotor was damaged or possibly the whole thing. i went to one place and it was going to be about $185 just to tell me whats wrong with it. i dont want to take it back to the place i got it fixed after the accident as they are miles away and i didnt really like the job they did either. any one know anywhere they would take their own S2k that would check it for less and tell me whats wrong with it?

I would hate to spend $185 to find out the rotor is warped which is what i think it is any way. its rubbing slightly on one outside edge whch causes a loud broken rubbing noise when stopping.

any ideas anyone?

Brakes are just about as easy as a DIY project can get. Why not do it yourself?

Was your wheel damaged in the accident? I don't see how an accident could "warp" a rotor.

 

thats kind of why i would rather take it somewhere. if i just pull the rotor out and replace it i may waste another rotor. if its more than just the rotor i wont be able to tell by looking at it. any ideas what else it could be.

that was the side that took the brunt of the hit. wet rd, took corner to fast, and realized i need to watch it in my S in the rain. it was the side that hit the curb
