Lone Star Chapter BMW
Probably this season's(I meant to say this is last autocross of summer, we will have more but nobody autocrosses till september, so either wait till september or enjoy this one before the long break) last good autocross if you'd like to attend.
After this, there is a long break and autocrosses start in like september!!
It runs like S2K autocross, not as cool people, but it's not bad at all.
and the autocross is at TMS bus parking lot which is the easiest on tires...
So who else is going to this one?

We can all roll together and I am sure we will come back with as much tires as we go to the autocross with..lol
I am sure Cosmos can verify since he had to drive lane's 400+hp car on ice

LOL...I guess my post came kinda unclear..
All I wanted to say was BMW is the only one that runs like S2K to give 8 runs throughout the day and they have okay courses....so anything I enjoy after S2K is BMW....PCA, what they did last time would make me think twice to go for 6 runs of theirs!
Just to clarify:
S2K gives 8 runs in an autocross
BMW gives 8 runs in an autocross
PCA gives 6 runs in an autocross
SCCA gives what 4 to 5 runs? and over 100 ppl show up?
ER is almost the same as SCCA, right?
My whole point was, if anyone is left out from autocrossing, this is the chance, to not get a lot of tire wear and try out something they are missing on!
I would not recommend mineral wells to ppl who are new or cry about tires day and night. TMS is the place to give it a try I think where you don't get any tire wear and see if you like it...then progress to other places and try different groups.
I personally don't think getting 4 to 5 runs in an autocross and work all day is something that I would be interested in. We should pay $5 extra each and hire some other guys to work for us...gives us more runs and we don't have to stand out there in the heat...just something to think about?
I hope I am making some sense here?

is TMS texas motor speedway? at 114 and 35?
I should be there, but it's pretty freaking hot outside lately. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and an umbrella isn't a bad idea when you're working corners (as long as it's not windy).

hmm... you might be on to something.
60 people * $10 = $600 extra.
9am-3pm = 6 hours. Hire 10 day laborers at $10 an hour to shag cones.
ER gives you 4-5 runs + $10 for 2 more and that $10 goes into a pot and if you do good enough you win a share of the pot . Plus ER's trophies are cool (coffee mugs).

Also, if you wanted to hire enough workers to cover an entire course for an entire day, your entry fee would go up by a lot more than $5.

I am not knocking on SCCA or ER, I am just saying that for a noob, you want to get seat time and become more familiar with the car...You want to get as much seat time as possible...
It's just a personal preference, I am not saying that people should not go...ppl go, in fact I think the most number of ppl go to SCCA and ER because of the level of competition, I just think I am not ready for that kinda competition yet...hell, I would compete only if I could stop spinning at almost every surface I have been to..

I will be at the BMW event. We'll be trying some new Kumhos.
SCCA events easily have the highest level of competition. There are some fast mo-fos there. This is especially true at the two-day Divisional events, like the one coming up in July.
I use the NTAXS, BMW, and PCA events for fun and practice. Since my car is built for SCCA specs, I use SCCA and ER events to compare myself to others in my class (STS).
