Looking for work...
Today is the day- I'm being laid off at 2:30 this afternoon. My 4-year tenure with Reltec/Marconi is over, and HOPEFULLY I'm done with Telecom as well.
If anyone knows of an opening for a motivated hardware/electrical engineer or a mechanic (
), please let me know!!!

Welcome to the club! I'd buy you a beer but... I've been in the club too long! =)
Its a sign that something's better out there and you should have gotten your ass out of there a long time ago. Keep your chin up Todd!

Sorry to here about that. I have been waiting for the axe to fall on me for over a year here at Alcatel. My wife was laid off by Alcatel a year ago, and it took her 10 months to find anything else.
You may already have a plan, but I can tell you that my wife had about a 2% call back rate for her faxed resume's. However, when she started getting the "Early Sunday Edition" of the paper on Saturday, and faxed all her resume's out that night, her call back rate went to about 10%. You definately have to make sure that your resume is on top of the 5 inch stack come Monday morning.
