i have magnaflow mufflers on my car and they fit, look and sound great. gernby theres a lil place called Davidson Muffler in mckinney that will do custom welding for pretty cheap. my friend got his full exhaust flowmasters on his truck for 200 total with parts. and not long ago i had a muffler welded on with an extension piping for just 20 on a friends car.
Do you know if the Magnaflows that you have are the same ones I linked above? How long ago was it that Davidson did the work for you or your friend? I've been there before, but it is under new "ownership" now. Acording to the guy running it a couple months ago, the original owner left the business to his son(s) who ran it into the ground.

I went to this one place in harry hines, this guy did awsome job adding xpipe on my true dual exhaust system. Before them I went one place in lewisville(35/main), they messed it up so bad.
Shoot me a pm, if you need to. I will try find a that place information. Btw they charged me 75 bucks? For adding that x pipe.

I just had my Magnaflows installed by Davidson Muffler in McKinney, and I am REALLY happy with it. I created a new thread with pictures here, and will post the before / after video soon.

Tip install looks nice. I would have had them cut the oem piping back a little and create a flare from the stock diameter to the 2.5" outlet for a smoother transition & cleaner weld.
