Motorcycle License
I'm determined to get a cheap bike around December and would like to take some riding lessons and get my license in the process. Anyone have any connections to any of the local schools here? And does anyone else want to join me in this awesome adventure?

weridesafe.com is good, but you can check out a list of your local schools at:

Harley Davidson dealers have a riding school that's actually pretty nice. They use Buell Blast! for your vehicle (damn easy to drive, and manuever) ad it's similarly priced.
The hard part is finding one that can accomodate certain schedules

I took the "Ridercourse" MSF a couple of years ago. One of the better prices and worked well... got my Honda 599 within a week of taking the course

I definitely recommend taking a course first, get yourself sorted then figure out what kind of bike you would like!

I went to Texas rider back in November, took the course from a guy named Bill, really nice guy who gave out his personal email in case we had questions in the future and all that. Its in the parking lot at that stadium at the 121 183 split.

I was really happy with it, and despite the fact that i knew most of what the course covered already, the instructor did more advanced techniques with me so i got more out of it.
