Default Need to replace my A/C cabin filter

My a/c started to stink of wet towels and feet all of a sudden. Did some research and it looks lilke the a/c cabin is recommended to be changed every 30k. I don't think mine has ever been done.

Lute Riley just gave me horrible price of $42 (Just for the filter)

Is there a non oem filter that can be purchased from Autozone or something?
I don't remember these things costing that much. I guess I could attempt the diy, but seems messy.

it's SOOO easy, i think it's like 10-15 for the part?

just pop your hood, undo some of the lil clips holding down the weather stripping, voila (from what i remember)

Handa has it for less than twenty, scroll down about half way down the page.

And if after changing your filter you still have odor issues try this product, it works very well.
