Well,
It may have snowed yesterday, but I still got the wheels on... too excited to wait another day. So here's a couple of pics of before (dirty wet roads & tires) and after
I'll take some proper photos once I can clean the car up nicely! Volk 17" LE28Ns, gunmetal gray centers w/ polished lip...
Not great representation of the color, but ooooo, still pretty
Close-up
Day after snow day... still a bit of cleanup for proper photos...
Many thanks to Kevin for meeting me halfway in Canton to pick up the wheels.
Interesting choice. I would've never thought of putting bronze wheels on a red car. Now you just need to upgrade your suspension, so you can get rid of that wheel gap!
Actually, they are gunmetal gray, but the sun was setting so it gave them a real bronzy look. I'll take some photos in better light when I get a chance to get the car cleaned up
In this shot, the flash was really bright, but they show the gray a bit better. (And so much for any anonymity, If you've never met me know you know what I look like, so if anyone sees me on the road... you darn well better wave if you're driving an S )
And yeah... someday I've got to look into that wheel gap thing...
I'll probably be autocrossing on what's left of my S02s on the stock wheels this year... then next year will break out the R compounds I won't be 'wearing' the Volks to autocrosses... especially mineral wells. The paint would get chewed up in no time with all of the rocks out there. So far they're just my bling, bling wheels (he, he... hard to believe I just said that )
Probably the next mod will be clear side markers... cheap I know, but after dropping a bunch of moola on wheels and tires, my wallet could use a break
Tholse are sweeeeeet!!! Now I'm wondering if I made the right choice with the 50" TV I recently bought. Don't tell my car, she might get pissed!!! I also really like that closeup shot you took with the snow - great photo!!! Enjoy those beautiful new wheels (bling, bling)!
