I'm going to the 102 on the 6th, I'll be in the Z06 on street tires.

Actually the PCA guys are some of the best drivers I have run against. I can see alot of experience gained from their instruction. If you think your fast, you realize your not when you go out to a PCA event.

Thumbs up for the Maverick Region PCA - they offer the best instruction you can get for the money in North Texas, imho. Much better than the local McKamey school that Texas Region SCCA puts on. Not quite as good as an Evolution school... but not quite the cost, either.

Seriously though - their schools offer a very well structured learning environment that emphasizes learning through action and repetition. You can read all the books on racing you want to, but the only way to get faster is to go out there and practice. Make sure you have a decent set of tires for one of these schools, and skip the race rubber unless you're made of money - the only downside to getting lots of seat time is getting lots of tire wear.

FWIW, it looks like I'll be instructing with the PCA for IA101, AX102, and TT103 this year, while I will be signing up as a student for TT104. Hope to see a lot of y'all out there.

Iain
