If u didn't do anything to offend the guy, then I would have to say he's being a bitch about it. This site makes plenty of money from member dues alone. Sponsorships are just icing on the cake. I would at least send him one more PM to politely ask him to explain his reason why he refunded your money and also why he decided to revoke your sponsorship.

But, who needs a sponsorship when you could just sell ur product thru the FS section and word of mouth?

 

I didn't do anything at all to offend him. I was polite and professional when I spoke to him once on the phone and in our subsequent emails. He said he would call me back. He never did. It was only about a week later that he sent me an email regarding payment information.

I agree, I'm sure he makes enough money already, but to never answer the phone, return my calls, PMs, or emails?

You're not able to make "commercial" posts in the FS section. I went the "legal" route to try to obtain a sponsorship.

 

Sorry for my bluntness, based on what the guy said the above, he's telling you you're wasting your money, so who gives a crap? Move on and find a new place to peddle your caps. Besides, based on what they sell for, you'd have to sell quite a few of them to recoup your $250.

FWIW, here's an idea for you...

Create a new screen name called "buy_custom_keyhole_caps_from_me" and start posting up... You save 250, and your name alone will spark interest

 

Well, he's saying that a sponsorship package where I can post in the Sponsor forums is better than a banner ad.
That's $250/year. At that rate, it would be much less absurd than $150/month which is the normal price.
I'm trying to go the "legal" route. If I created a spam screen name, I'm sure he could just ban my IPs.

 

I did not recommend spamming the site. I recommended a screen name. Huge difference. I do not think you'd get banned for a screen name unless it was offensive in nature.

 

I still think word of mouth and selling thru pm's will net you profit. It might be slow at first, but business will pick up once word gets around.

 

or "custom_keyhole_creator", i haven't read the rules to know if that's a violation or not, i think it'd be ok if you had your SN changed to that, instead of creating a separate SN/account
