Rims

I'd spend that much on rims If I liked tem enough. I'd probably be more budget conscious on the ires though kowing how fast they can wear out. I probably would have gotten the HRE's since they have wider rims and offsets just for the S2000.
It happened to me on my 1st car. The way they do it is to loosen the lugs, then they place the bricks under the car. They deflate the tires, which leaves the car sitting on bricks with just enough room to slide the deflated wheels/tires off and run like hell. Try jacking up the car when there are no wheels at all - you'll have to call a wrecker to help.
Be sure you have a great alarm before you buy nice wheels or a stereo.

Now your just getting ridiculous lol. You can spend a good 1500-1700 give or take for some nice used rims on this forum.
I also dont see the point of buying a nice set of wheels with just decent tires, afterall your tires are the only thing touching the ground. Do yourself the favor and dish out that extra 50 bux or so on each tire and enjoy em.

I cant spend $500 per tire. I can only afford about $200 a tire. Rims i can go $1500 for a set. so who ever advised me to get $5200 rims and $2000 tires is crazy. rather get a supercharger for that money.
I dont know what kind of tires your talking about for 500 each, hell you can add 250 more or so and get a full set of 18" Kumho MX tires.
I think he advised you to get the HRE's is because you didnt list a price so he just threw somthing out at ya.

David, I'm getting ready to order some HRE's - 18X8.5 in front and 18X10 in the rear. I'll probably go with the C21 Competition models. I'm debating what center finish to go with: polished or glossy black. What finnish are yours? Also, what size tires are you running? I'm leaning towards 265X35 Kuhmo MX's in rear and 235X40 in the front. Your thoughts?
I've run a few different tire sizes but am currently on 225/40-18 and 265/35-18 p-zeros. You may want to think about a 235/40-18 front and 285/30-18 rear. I'm pretty sure the 10" will fit the 285 nicely depending on which brand of tire you go with. I'd check the tire width specs and talk to someone at Tire Rack about that before ordering though. Once you get into those sizes the actual vs. stated widths seem to vary more by manufacturer.
This gunmetal color looks nice as well.
Well I pulled the trigger today. C21's in Gun metal like the picture Clovis posted. 18X8.5" in the front and 18X10" in the rear. Now the wait - 4 to 6 weeks. Probabley go with 225X40 Micheline Pilot Sport's in front and 265X35's in rear. These will be my street wheels/tires. My current setup - Volks ce28's with Victoracers will be my track setup. And yes, you will see me at Mineral Wells in the future.
