ROAD TRIP FROM DALLAS TO SEATTLE, WA.
Well, I promised my niece that i'll help her driving ones of her car to Seattle for her since she moving up there with her husband whom stationed at Ft. Lewis.
We started out at 5AM on Thursday...i was driving the Impala and my niece was driving the TC. We spend the nite over in Wy. and reached Seattle on Friday 9pm pacific-time and the total miles is 2300miles.
The roads were awsome!!! and talking about sea-level elevation! There are mountains that are 8k feet above sea-level and several with 5k feet sea-level and i am lost count on the curves and turns
Eventhough i wasn't driving the S but i had fun in the Impala. I am talking about breath-taking...scary and fun...none stop action. I had driven through Smoky mountain but the road trip to Seattle is the best that i had ever driven. Guess i'll have to take my S to Seattle next summer.

I made that round trip 6 times last 13 months. Twice in my wife's 3.5RL, once in a Honda minivan, twice in my Nissan Titan, and once in a Pensky Truck. 13 hours the first day, 13 hours the second day and about 8 hours on the third day. Audio novels sure did help. You're right, its quite a drive. Unfortunately, I had my S2000 shipped in a covered carrier. It would have been a lot more fun driving that.

. Definitely i'll have to take the S up that rout this next summer for a road trip. Eventhough it's quite a drive but it's worth it. I just fall in love with the road and the view is so beautiful and off course Seattle is quite a nice city to visit too.

I've done it before but the other way around. It's a fun drive. I drove through Central California at 95 all the way through. If you ever go back up to the Seattle area. Take Edmonds/Kingston ferry over to the peninsula. Head to Sequim, then Port Angeles close to the Olympic national forest. From Port Angeles you can fly, hardly any population, and some of the best riding (was on my m/c) I've ever done.

Dominox, if you can standed the 4-5 hours driving around the Murphy, plano and Allen areas then you can handle the 32 hours drive. I know some of you probably already seen the movie Inital D....well, Inital D " the Dragon mountain" ain't nothing compare to the road to Seattle. Darn, i am still having a nightmare!!! LOL.
Tommy, i'll definitely keep that in mind when i taking my S up there...hopefully next summer. Sounded like a fun ride.
