Looks like some good competition. I still think Stanford is cheating with his turbo S2000 in regular S2000 class.

David, you are bringing a machine gun to a knife fight with your Elise. I wish I had a C6 Z06 with some monster R comps to give you a run for your money.

Stanford understands that and doesn't want his times to screw with the points...so just in case anyone is stress'n.

I wish you'd bring a C6 Z06 out as well. I'd like to see what I'm going to be up against next year...sounds like they're letting it in to SS.

Maybe you guys should start adding some "rewards weight" to make things fair out there.

Not really worried about points this year. Next year, maybe. Stanford is a great driver with a 300+rwhp S2000, so it does put the other S2000 drivers at a significant disadvantage.

I would really be interested in seeing how the C6 Z06 and Elise stack up in autocross. I think the Z06 has a distinct advantage on a road course with the massive power difference, but the autocross scene really equalizes their relative strengths/weaknesses.

My friend traded his Z06 for a Viper Coupe (long story), so it may be a while before I can get a C6 Z06 out to an S2000 autocross. Of course, seeing how incredible the Viper handled and braked stock when we ran the Viper Coupe at MSR two weeks ago, the Viper might actually be a 'decent' competitor at autocross in the right hands.

Yeah, he presented me with nice moral dilemma. Told me to not count his times - which would give me 1st in class for the day, and enough points to tie for 1st for the season.

We need Stuart to bring out the GT3 at the same time as a Z06 shows up, as well.

I'm almost definitely moving to R-compounds next season...just another step on the learning curve. I hope Mark and Corey W. join me and we have 5 or more participants every event!

Why don't you just move him to S2000R since it's open to non-R as well?

Glad to see more people are going to be running in the R class next year though because I do miss being able to see where I am compared to other ppl... and the more I have to compare to the better.

I might run Rs or street. Not sure. I have the car setup for Rs, so on street it doesn't handle as wel.

What, and have people accuse me of messing with the results for my own benefit? Not like 2nd vs 1st place really gets me anything.

I drove in street class this year specifically because of the lack of competition in R. With the Kumho ECSTA MX being significantly cheaper than any of the track compounds, I'm thinking I might just stick with street class for the time being.
