Sly is back!
Safe & sound in the garage... where she will spend the majority of the next 30 days while the paint "hardens".
Anyway, the paint looks great. The suspension feels good so far. The only thing that was less than perfect is the welds on the quarter panel, but you can only tell if you open the trunk and look for it. Actually, the weld itself isn't bad, but you can tell where the new panel is, because inside (kinda under the rear deck) you can see where the two panels overlap/meet (hard to describe without a picture). They should've "tack" welded it or something on the inside, just to make it smooth. However, the main welds look good, and all of the body panels line up well, so that is a good thing.
Anyway... I'm excited to have her back, and can't wait until May when I can get her out on the track.
Later!
-Marcus.

Trust me, I'll be out there ASAP... but I'm not supposed to expose it to possible rock-chips, etc, for 30 days. Then, they'll put a "polymer wax/sealant/protectant" or something on it to protect the fresh paint and it will be good to go. As soon as that's done I'll be hitting the first autocross I can find.
mxt_77, skip the polymer crap and - if you can afford it - go and get 3M Invisishield installed as soon as the paint has hardened. While you're at it, have the rocker panels and the trailing and leading edges of the wheel wells done, too. It won't be cheap, but it's the best protection against rock chips that money can buy.
Glad to hear you've got your baby back!

After seeing the horror of rock chips on my S2000, my next new car will definitely be getting a 3M coating. Iain is right about the rocker pannels, especially in front of the rear wheel.
In Car Talk, somebody posted they know an installer in the DFW area that'll do it for $175 parts and labor. I'll see if I can find the link.
