Code was cleared with a computer I believe... I am going to try and use 2 de-foulers before I give up and throw the cat back on...

Anyone tried using an O2 Sim w/ the 06+ cars? I used that on my 03 in lieu of the mechanical TP fix and never had any problems.

There some type of electronic o2 simulator thing.... I don't know anything about it, but I think it is mentioned in the thread I linked.

To answer the question, in my experience with it, two de-doulers did not work for me.
However, I have had people (MY06+ owners) tell me that they have had to put two defoulers on their HFC's too.
I did the Boston Mountain Tour this past weekend, and my car was in VTEC range a lot, still no CEL.

It is hit and miss... some MY06+ owners do not have a problem with catalyst CEL's, but some of us do.

You might try running two defoulers and pack some steel wool down where the first defouler meets the test pipe. Otherwise I have seen people create a defouler with a 45 degree bend which may help.

I was presented that option too with the steel wool, but was mentioned to me that it could rust and rot out over time.

You just need to move the o2 sensor out of the air flow from the tp. Juse screw 2 defoulers together.

It took 3 defoulers to get my 2008 to stop throwing a CEL with Berk header and HFC. 2 wasn't enough. I have also heard of stuffing the first defouler with steel wool to help decrease the flow to the sensor.

Also, the Hondata Flash Pro can disable the second O2 sensor, so that is another route, albeit expensive. Flashpro would also open many new tuning option to you so it may be worth looking into.

Just go to auto zone and pick them up. They come in packs of 2. Just take a drill and bore one out so it fits the O2 sensor and leave the other one alone. Screw them together and you're done.

Just the guy I was waiting for to respond.

08S2KCR, Mutantcheese is who I referred to where I received a good bit of my useful information from.
