I know you have already picked your location, but you still might want to consider seeing this movie on the IMAX. I already have my tickets.

"Cinemark XD - Extreme Digital Cinema." Huh, never heard about that until now. Looks like it went in back in March? What shape is the screen? Is it normal rectangular but just really big? Or is it the curved, fill-your-entire-field-of-view type that IMAX is? I don't care for those oversized screens like IMAX has - too difficult to see everything at once. My favorite format is 70mm format. I'm a big fan of DLP, though. Much better IMO than any film projection.

Yeah, I very much prefer the new DLP screens and the XD. Unfortunately, the IMAX projector here in Dallas is about 10+ year old technology. The others actually have better picture quality and certainly better audio. 2 out of the 4 times I've been to the IMAX I could distinctly hear distortion & clipping in the sound. Once there was even a busted woofer. The only advantage of IMAX is the size of the screen, which I agree is too difficult to see everything. I'm not a fan at all.
Honestly, it seems like people these days don't know how to behave in a theater. Except for a few exceptions, I just prefer to wait for Blu-Ray and enjoy it at home in my own theater. That was a requirement for our new house due to the many bad theater experiences the past few years.
