Default Wheel sizes? What fits?

I have a 2003 S2000 that I am looking to get rims on, what suggestions do you have for staggered rims... I was thinking 17/7 on front with 18/8 on back... but what offset do I need....

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

AP1

Front:
16" x 6.5", +55 offset, 205 tire
Rear:
16" x 7.5", +65 offset, 225 tire

AP2

Front:
17" x 7.0", +55 offset, 215 tire
Rear:
17" x 8.5", +65 offset, 245 tire

Try and stay within 10-15 mm of the original offsets if possible. I wouldn't run different diameter front to rear. Just run a staggered 17" combo.

go to the wheels and tires forum

And read the stickies/FAQs at the top of the forum. They'll likely have all the info you'll need.

Make sure you buy wheels+tires that are lighter than the ones you are replacing. Rotational mass/unsprung weight is the worst area to add weight at. The FAQ has everything you need.

Either pick 4 or 17" or 4 18" rims.

not two of each...

When Cosmos says staggered he means the tire width. Not wheel size.

Also be very careful when choosing a tire and look at the ACTUAL width, not just the rated width.

Many tires are narrower or fatter than rated width. The most common thing you'll find is that the tires will be skinnier than the rated width, especially on the rear.

This will give you terminal oversteer, but also might make one tire fit and another tire rub.

I have 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears and rolled fenders on the rear.I'm also lowered on skunk2 springs. No rubbing. Best sizes imo.
