Default Who was on 360S going 183 last night?

Last night I was on my way home from mansfield After i had just got my gears installed by Todd Macucci. The gears Whine pretty loud during crusing.
Anyways, I ran into a Silverstone S2000 and we were side by side. We did not race or anything but was pacing each other. The reason why Im asking who it was is because he had the window's down. Who ever you were, did you hear my gear whine? Was it loud as hell?

Did you have the 4.56Rs or the regular 4.56s? If they're new, they will whine real bad, but will get better. It'll still be there, but not nearly as bad as brand new. The Rs got rid of most of the whine, while the originals are supposedly pretty bad...

It wont die down, I think my gears have approx 13k miles on it and it still sounds the same as the day I got it. My hardtop helps get rid of some of it (actually it helps a bit) but I heard sound deadner in the rear trunk area decreases the noise by alot.

See the things is, i dont care about how loud it is in the cabin (well kinda), but what im worried about is being embarrased in the public roads. Its so loud that cars around to me can hear it. My alpine cant even drown it out.

I never listend to it outside of the car, it actually sounds funny to me when you start playing with the throttle on the freeway. Sounds like someone is moaning and whining in your rear trunk.

When i drove past people, they would turn there head and look with the "is your car focked up?" expression on thier faces. I roll my windows down, and I can hear the high pitch moaning echo. This Only happens when I partially hold down the throttle.

Wow. That's loud. Mine are nothing like that...

Well, if it makes you feel better -- they are probably staring at you b/c you're such a hardcore racer now, lol.

Honestly, I care more about getting rid of the sound on the inside. I still have some Quietcoat leftover from doing my Prelude, so I'll probably spray onto the diffrential cover that sits above the diff.
