Scary. I wonder how fast he was going? Ive been over in that area and unless you're really trying its kinda hard to go fast (lots of stop lights / huge pot holes)....

yea. i was over in that area last night. made a left turn and back started to slide. alot of the roads are polished in uptown. possibly a factor?? who knows...

i never saw pics but if it was a side impact usually airbags arent going to deploy

I live very closeby. There is inconsistent pavement there, trolley tracks, patches of road.

those roads over there can get pretty slippery, even in the dry. the texture of the pavement changes a lot from slippery to not.

that intersection, i know my rear slid out really easy. i made that exact same left turn at a slow speed a couple weeks ago and the tires started to slip.

sad though for the guy.
