Last time I saw a S2K. Was a S from Portugal at the Nurburgring

I'll be getting the Ferry from Dublin to Liverpool overnight on Thursday 26th September to head to this.
It will be approx 6:30am when I drive off the boat, giving me approx 12hours to reach the venue.

So, do I arrive very early and enjoy the facilities at the hotel?

Or, is there anything well worth stopping at/any interesting routes to take?

If googlemaps is accurate, its a ~4hour journey, allowing for some stopping time, giving me 7-8hours to play with.

Brendan, I would convoy up with you but I won't be leaving until after work on the Friday evening which will be around 5-6pm.

You could always spend the day in Liverpool if you haven't done that before?
