I like to try.

Let's face it. If we get over 30 cars, we'll have to improvise some drastic measures. There are options available.

"I love it when a plan comes together"!

Must be a premium sailing. Ouch! It'll be worth it though!

Folks,
Someone has PMd me to suggest we put a limit on the Oban Run in order to enable it to go ahead. I am contacting Calmac at present to see if we can get another earlier ferry booked (although this will inevitably mean an early start I'm afraid) but I'm not sure what the outcome will be.

I know the Noons are not coming to Oban - they are doing the Waverley thing instead. If anyone else is definately not up for the Oban trip and would prefer to stay on Arran, please let me know asap. Otherwise, I will assume we are all still up for it.

At this time, I am not overly worried about the ferry issue. It's a Sunday (and most people arrive on a Saturday to Arran). However, I will let you know the outcome of any discussion with the ferry crew / Calmac HQ.

Don't worry. We'll get there. And back!

Andy and I will share a car - probably his, so that's one less car for the ferry on Sunday.

Is there a bird sanctuary or some kind of zoo or similar on the island.
That could well persuade Donna and I to hang back on Sunday and go see some animals.

We're booked in for accomodation now (5 mins walk from the Shorehouse), so it's all sations go here!

Perhaps if some 'malt' changed hands, the ferry would do us a deal Graham

Er....no.

I am not trying to put people off the tour to Oban, ... I hope that's not the impression I was giving out.

There are very little animal-oriented things here.... well, other than AE and the local wildlife!
