I'm supposed to be doing something else on the 21st but will try to rearrange things and make it.
Not many meets in this part of the country so glad to see you organising something.

Hi soulcrew...glad to see someone from down this neck of the woods on the forum!

JMD2000...i'm not too clued up on places to eat around t'garth ... but follow the link for a few suggestions: http://www.brecon-beacons.com/places-talgarth.htm
(scroll down for places to eat)

Route wise, if your looking to get to T'garth why not try the following:

Wye Valley
Rockfield
Aber'
Crick (old road)
Llangynidr/Bwlch (past the lake)
B4560 - T'garth...

is that what you were kind of looking for?

Time wise about....???....1.5/2 hours approx (without stops!)

hope this helps...

Thanks Yogi - I've got a toute in mind that I will put to Alex for comment tomorrow evening. I am thinking about The Farmers Arms at Cwmdu for a place to eat.

Typical - I move to Wiltshire, and you organise a reasonably local meet on our baby's due date!!!

Thanks a bundle, guys - I'll be able to gripe at you all at MM2

p.s.: The A40 dual carriageway around Monmouth was good fun, if I recall correctly.... fast roads, fast corners, all through some stunning forests and hills...

The pre-meet went ahead as arranged and the route for the meet on 21 August has been confirmed.

We propose to redezvous just outside Chepstow (at the junction of the A48 and B4245where there is a large carpark next to the Indian Empire) at 10.00am for a 10.30 start.

I'm sure that we will arrange the itinerary to suit on the day, but hopefully the route will give a variety of roads and scenery.

I would be happy to meet anyone at Parkway Railway station in Bristol by 9.30am for a convoy to the main rendezvous, and for anyone coming from the M48, don't forget change for the bridge toll.

So far we have got four definates and three more possibles, but have booked lunch for 20 people so please come if you can!
