too
it is indeed a hectic period!
would be a shame though if you put in the effort to organise a day at a time which means a bunch of us who would otherwise come along don't.
definately a tricky one to get right though - good luck with that!!

You will never please everyone, it just has to be a compromise. Sounds like Bedford is a better bet for track newbie like me. I assume Bedford will be cheaper too?
Go for what works out best for you.
Wherever it is, I'll do my best to come along. Have to track this car next year.

After a lot of chin scratching I've gone for Bedford as I think it's a better all rounder and would appeal to more people - and I'll probably do Donington a couple of times this year anyway

if it looks like not raining all day

Donington for Me - Its a Proper Track !
Quite a few of the regular 'Track Day Enthusiasts' are as mentioned above schedule to do the Ring - so that would but a hole in the numbers attending if the dates clashed - far better to pos do it after the Ring, then we can talk about our tales of Continental mayhem afterwards !!
Re the Noise Issue - its not going to go away - we just need to have a car that will pass the relevant Noise Limits at which ever Track we Attend !
Cheers
Peter

Having read the posts here, looked at the poll and bearing in mind other meets etc it will have to be Bedford.
For one it is later in the year than the Donington date of March so it should be warmer. If it did rain it would dry much more quickly too. It is also a track where both novice and experienced drivers can attend together whereas Donington is better for experienced people. I'll however organize something in June/July for Donington too and being warmer it should be a lot of fun.
Dates will be Saturday 29 April for Bedford. I have also decided not to sort out a hall for a function as this will invariably put up the cost on top of the wear and tear of brakes, accommodation, meals, petrol etc. However in the evening the people staying back can get together for dinner and drinks and it will be a more informal setting. I'll however sort out a deal for two hotels nearby.
If you are likely to attend then let me know by posting here so I can gauge the viability of this going ahead and doing the hard work for it.
