East Midlands Sunday Drive 29/07/2012
#22
I have checked on the internett for convoy restrictions and found nothing of relevence. I have phoned notts police and as we are just a few friends having a sunday drive there is not a problem as we shall be following the highway code. Maps and directions of the drive will be handed out so everyone can enjoy the drive at their own pace. I will be stopping frequently to keep us all together. If more than ten cars come then we may split into two groups.

Ok - thanks for the update, I wasn't sure how they were treating it, I know it was introduced to curb the cruisers and some of the car park displays but wasn't sure how far they extended it.
I'm pretty sure I can make this one. Fingers crossed for the weather.

We did the whole drive on the sunday just gone, had lunch in the angel inn (very nice steak and ale pudding), parking reservation confirmed and reserved seating. The sun brought out cyclists and walkers but the roads we have chosen were still good for driving. The weather is looking good and dry at the moment (max temperature 18 deg celsius, visability very good). If anyone is thinking of putting their name down i really need to know by saturday evening so i can confirm numbers for lunch, you can show up on the morning which is ok but you may have a wait for lunch. Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
