You've got the wrong castle. Your pics are of Bodiam castle I think.

Not far away and equally as pretty though
Ouch!

Silly Billy! :exitright:

Edit: I have deleted the post that andy2000 refers to, to avoid any confusion!

Made me laugh though !

Righto well I think there is enough interest that I will go ahead and make arrangements.

Couple of questions...

I aim to get us in to the accomodation block (the castle is owned by a canadian university and so there are student digs available during term breaks) so no camping. But - due to the fact it acts as a university campus for most of the year timings are going to be restricted, obviously.

Any opinions on whether I aim for - christmas, easter or summer ??
Whatever happens there will most likely be a wedding on at the castle, which will mean the pub there will be out of bounds
BUT there are kitchenettes and very smelly student lounges.. wow I'm really selling this bit huh !

For those of you interested I can get the science centre to open for us, so by all means bring your own telescope, just remember size isn't everything

Right second question...

Would you like photo opportunities in front of the castle and science centre to be arranged (in that they keep the area clear especially for us at arranged times ?)

All good info to attack the castle/sci centre management with !

Thanks.. for the interest. This WILL be on the calender at somepoint next year.

I / We would love to go. The place looks amazing.

Pics outside of all the S's would be

Easter or Summer would be best I guess - better weather... less things going on at that time.

Sounds great. I'd like to think that I could come, but really have no idea if I could at this point in time.

Well done for suggesting it, it's this kind of thing that sets this car forum apart from others - in a big way!
