Great to see everyone again.
The journey home was a lot easier than the one in....

Looking forward to the next one, and getting my fish and chips order in early.....

To summarise:

Terrific Ambience.
Sensational Weather.
A broad mix of completely original S2000's - old and new and some well modified in both style, presence and quality.

Superb cross--section of our community and always made to feel most welcome.

Thanks Kim for organising a blisteringly good event.

Thanks kim for organising, it was a great evening.

Nice to meet some new faces. We managed to get there in one piece despite my co drivers lack of navigation skills! I knew it wasn't going to go well with me leading the mimms convoy

Yesterday's S2000 Ace Cafe Meet was again a really good turnout and very enjoyable.

Thanks to Sophie for the fantastic work, Krista our photographer, the ace cafe events team and Kleers Premium Car Care Products for sorting out the special prize and cheers Owen and friend for inadvertently manning the support desk

We were really lucky AGAIN with the weather, with a warm, sunny evening. It was perfect.

Well done to the award winners yesterday, there were some amazing cars and people.

Winners were:

Best overall Car - ASM Biggy
Best modified Car - Jayboy83
Best Standard car - AquilaEagle
Best Clean Car - The Loon
Dirtiest Car - Pippa

Thanks to everyone who came along, took part and made the event what it is.

Krista got some superb shots which will be going to Banzai with a write up (those pictures are embargoed to Banzai and
will not be released before the magazine feature).

I did however gather pictures from several peoples facebook and instagram profiles to compile the below for you.

I will add more when I find more:

July's meet thread will be posted up shortly.

Five minutes before I was due to leave my neighbour asked if he could come along for the ride!

At the Ace he was like a 'pig in the proverbial'! He loved the atmosphere, the cars and, most of all the friendly people. And, he devoured his portion of chips, chilli and Cheddar cheese with relish.

When we arrived home he said, "Tell me. How much would a car like yours cost?.

The overall winning car, brought over from Cologne in Germany by the owners, was absolutely stunning in every way, and was a deserved winner.

However, no one has shown a picture of the under bonnet area like this one:

As you can see, everything has been removed other than the engine itself, the radiator and the brake servo and master cylinder. All the items which have been removed are now fitted in the wing arches. It strikes me, as a Chartered Engineer, that the amount of planning which must have gone into this modification would be 'mind blowing'!

The owners stated that it only took them seven months, through the winter, to complete the work. I was too polite to ask, "why?".

800 hours..... 8months he told me the whole car was striped, everything came off, everything! Then totally rebuilt as we see it. Amazing effort such a shame to see a few paint cracks in the engine bay though, stunning. AP2 as well.
