I am floating this as a idea for an extended meet/tour, which one or two from scotmeets have expressed an interest in.
Basically it will involve a long weekend (very long weekend for anyone coming from down south) "doing" most of the roads in the North West of Scotland, principally Sutherland and Wester Ross.
Now set for 11th to 14th September inclusive (Sat to Tues).
Start at Inverness on morning of 11th, end Stirling, late afternoon of the 14th.
Accomodation booked for the 7 cars so far - 2 nights in far north (pm me for details)
Night 3 on west coast to be booked soon.
Confirmed at present
Euan
Mr & Mrs Blurter
Jims2filtre
eibutler
C7BLE
Mr & Mrs Rocephin
Mr & Mrs Gentoo
Mr & Mrs AE
Possibles :
Burnie
Late September is when I spent a few unforgettable days on deserted roads last year as shown in these pics S2000 Heaven.
This is the best time of year for it as the tourists will have mostly gone home, and the weather will still be reasonably warm and dry(ish).
I know some of you heading up to Arran in July may be planning a bit of a tour of Scotland at the same time, but we will be going up to Sutherland later on in September anyway for anyone who wants to tag along.

I'll try to Ade, unfortunately that's the best weekend probably. When I get a better idea of how many people going to Megameet also fancy this one, then I'll have to work around MM .

For viewers in scotland there is currently a Gaelic programme on STV that is showing landscape pics from a helicopter of the North West of Scotland.

I was planning to go to the Mega Meet at the end of Sept, and driving down to Nice to do the Route Napoleon at the beinging of Sept
The idea sounds fantistic, but I can't make Sept
