Hi there thanks to Oss for an entertaining and gruelling 300 mile run. Thanks also to Oss for the entertainment!! Excuse the quality of the pics as some muppet as smudged the lens (although having to pick it up from the footwell on regular occasions as Oss decided I needed brake tested on several occasions!

The obligatory line up at the top of the Rest and Be Thankful - pointed out to those who have heard the story where we fell off that hill in a rally...

Ade's car looking mean against the beautiful background

Crinan Canal - Something Oss failed to do on a 7R Opens (!!double caution farm track straight on) He claims he was distracted by something long and hard and awkward in his pocket

Something lurking in the grass - story of Beardie's life really

Some local fauna and flora

Some more with Oss's award wining tree

End of the road and nowhere to go

Some more flora and fauna. Can you spot the difference?

Sorry couldn't stay Ms Perky as Beardie says nae stamina...

Good shots Douglas I like that close up of my car at the Crinan Canal

Your shot of my tree is pretty good as well...!

Not realy award winning; actually it's just my most favourited picture on Flickr at the moment. Of all my shots, the one I took in April of this tree has been faved the most, by 9 people, sad I know but Flickr is quite addictive

Anyway, while we're waiting for the S2kJocks Pics site to rebuild....

Oss was on good form today, 110% mad heilen drivin mode.
Unfortunately he missed the line on one corner and had to use a farm track as an escape route. Huge clouds of dust, and the rest of us pissin oursleves laughing.
Ok I suppose I have to explain this.

First excuse; the 110% mode was maybe 'cause I was a bit disappointed at not getting over to Arran this weekend as I had too much work that I had to get done on Friday and today, I think I was compensating

Second excuse.

I had looked at the road ahead thought yep it's straight for a bit and thought I had time to remove a lens from my pocket as the seatbelt was digging in and getting uncomfortable.

So I gets the lens out and then starts looking for a place to put it, with that kind of quick glance back to road that you do when you know you really shouldn't be fiddling about with the "CD player / bag of sweets / road map / camera bag" whatever.

At that point the quick glance told me that it wasn't a straight ahead it was a hard right and I had already used all of my braking zone and there was no way that I was going round it at 60. Although as Douglas noted I did start to try to do the corner for a moment before the abort signal reached my brain

Luckily the straight ahead bit was a farmers very rough driveway but you really don't want to be braking into Chuckie Stones at 60 mph. Hence the clouds of dust everywhere shame no one got picture of that

A moments inattention, totally my own fault, could have been a lot worse.... So I count I myself lucky to still be here and will stop fiddling with "Camera Lenses / Irn Bru / etc." in the passenger seat from now on

And yeah, quite deserving of having everyone pissing themselves laughing at me.
