This is what happens "when rocks attack!"
Its obviously gone straight through the sidewall from the front,(as demonstrated here with a miniature screwdriver) and then hit the rim leaving that big scuff/ding

I'll repost my tale of woe from the Jock thread
I got up at 7:30am and jumped in the shower
Stomach started to make some strange noises and next thing I'm on the can howling at the moon.
I have some weetabix for breakfast, and end up straight back on the can, my arse is like a Japanese Flag by this point.
Iphone Beardie to let him know I'm an unlikely and then spend most of the morning in various states of defecation.
I phoned Beardie, to let him know I was on my way to Bonchester bridge but no reply (must have been busy nearly crashing into someone)
I realised though I probably wouldn't make it till well after 1pm by which time I thought you would have moved on
I knew the route would take you over talla reservoir so I thought I would meet you at the beginning of that run and join you for the rest of the day
....however...
I got a bit turned around in my head and actually did the route backwards coming out at tweedsmuir
my mobile phone couldn't get a signal and my stomach was starting to tell me I ought to think about finding a loo soon
so I decided to cut my losses and head home (rather than cut back across the talla and megget road and risk running headlong into Beardie)
As I'm going home I cut up over the broughton road and something catches my eye in my rear view mirror!, it's one of the bungs for my invidea bouncing into the distance.
I stop the car and retrieve the undamaged bung, but can't find the nut and bolt anywhere.
Cursing because I'm commuting in this thing at the moment, I unscrew the otherbung (burning my fingers in the process) and put them in the boot
When I get home, I take the tonneau cover off to find one of the poppers is broken, and then go to the loo and pebbledash the porceline
Now my arse is like the backend of the Batmobile.
All in all a good day out!

Tyre didn't deflate, but not safe to drive on it.
The Mugen bonnetted nurby is Kenneth's.

We've had a fantastic weekend, met some new faces - Jim, Alan & Heidi, and Kenneth
Some great driving in superb weather, it really doesn't get any better than this. Those of you that missed it hard luck
Photos then...
Day 1
Stanhope, waiting for a Lotus Elise
Some great roads, with some great views
We didn't know where we were going, so we had to wait for that slow Subaru at each junction
Can't afford road markings round here
At one point we went over a crest to find this view and this road
Rothbury where we happened to bump into my boss and his family
Seahouses, stopping for beer
Obligatory rear shot
The cooks...
The gannets...
Alan and his imaginary chair

Day 2
The weather forecasters were wrong again
The umbrella comes out again
Almost in England, but we head back to Scotland
Jim, had never seen an engine like this before, I can't wait to see this pic
Kenneth discover's his mods aren't Jockmeet friendly
