Default North Wales Meet IV - 30th Sept 2006

The updated news is that I have now sorted the route for North Wales IV and it should be as exciting as ever with a good test of driving skills. Unfortunately due to various requests date has been moved back to 30 September. This is first date I can do after 2 Sept. If not suitable then don't know what we can do.

DATE - SATURDAY, 30 SEPTEMBER 2006

We will be taking in the EVO TRIANGLE and also paying a visit to THE PONDEROSA. For those who have never been it is an experience in itself. The "HIGH" (in more ways than one) MEETING POINT for Motorists and Bikers in North Wales. It is one of the usual meeting places for Pistonheads Groups, many Bikers Groups and our jolly friends from Mr Brunstrum's Gang. I promise they are very friendly and are pleased to help and assist with safer driving more than dishing out tickets.

Start point will be just off a major road within easy reach of Chester. Don't want to give away any secrets yet. SEE UPDATE BELOW.

Stick your name down. Those who want to make a week-end of it can do so. No track day this year. I'll update this list from time to time. We may have the odd car from a different stable just to make things a bit more exciting. I really need to know numbers some days before the OFF to make catering arrangements, so get those names down NOW.

Meet details

Meet at 10.00am at St. David's Hotel, Ewloe, somewhere in car park. Actually I think it is St David's PARK Hotel!

This is on B5125 near Hawarden and junction of A55 and A494. Only just off the Junction. It is a good hotel with all the facilities for those wanting to make a week-end of it.
Very close to English border so no excuses for the Northern crowd.

Start drive 10.30 a.m. SHARP.

Drive will be about 135 miles taking in The Ponderosa, Horseshoe Pass, The EVO Triangle, Lake Bala, Clwydian Hills, Nant-y-Garth Pass and other interesting places. It will be a good test of driving skills. Lunch stop will probably be at The Sportsman's Arms. Other stops at Ponderosa and Afon Wen.

I need someone to lead some of the route, volunteers please!

I was just going to post that the route will include the EVO triangle but some little whippersnapper has done it for me.

If everyone wants to combine it with a Friday Track Day at Angelsey then I can organise a more Westerly starting place. Someone better tell me soon.
