It would be good to have a festive meet, especially for Tracey and I who both work from home and won't get invited to many other parties. It seems though that we do need to agree a location, and confirm the date soon, otherwise this won't happen at all.

Is it an option to have two separate events (on different dates - for people who want/can do both), to make it more attractive for people not having to travel form one end of the country to another?
You're quite welcome to organise a second one. But I am doing one, that is difficult enough!

The reason i try and make it central is to make it as accessible as possible.

You'll never please everyone, i dont intend to try and do so!

AE - I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers, it was just a suggestion.

Not ruffled at all Mark I know where you're coming from, just it is hard work putting one together - did it last year and we had to cancel due to people pulling out Just saying I don't intend doing 2!

Well Leeds is exactly 200 miles from both London and edinburgh. You see, you know it makes sense!

It's also grim and smack-bang in the middle of flat-caps-and-whippets country!

Budgie, not sure what we are doing this far ahead so whether we can make it will depend on time and venue. We shall try!

At least it doesn't rain all the time like it does on the wrong side on the pennines, ie your side of the pennines.

This was the trouble last year.

When it comes to booking we need people to commit, luckily last year there was no financial outlay to cover, so nothing was lost. I'll take deposits this year, non refundable.
