Peaks/Pennines Meet 10 June 2006
Following on from the Cheshire/South Manchester Pub Meet & some suggestions arising from there I am looking at organising a meet to take place on a Saturday to be decided. The location is up for debate but a likely area is the Peak District/Pennines. I know the area reasonably well & there are some great driving roads. Obviously we need good weather to do the roads/cars/scenery some justice so whilst we can isolate a date at some point we may have to bump it according to conditions with a view to doing it the weekend after, if you get my drift.
Idea is to meet at a convenient location in the morning & drive a scenic & enjoyable route to a lunchtime rendezvous at a place of cold drinks & good food. Afternoon is more driving to a finish time of early evening.
UPDATE.
We have chosen Adlington Hall near Macclesfield. It is easy to find & in a perfect location for the surrounding countryside. The hall itself is closed on Saturdays but the car park is open & large enough to accomodate us & provide a good backdrop for pics.
We are looking at a meet time of 10am on Sat 10th June with 2-3 hours driving through some fantastic countryside to a decent pub for food etc followed by a further 3+ hours of driving. As mentioned previously to do this justice we need to have good weather.
Moggy & i are driving the route & checking locations in stages. We will be able to provide timings & mileages on the routecards.
Confirmed:

Can't do mid June.
Not sure of other times prior to end June yet.
But don't plan around me-just set a date.
Ed-happy to trek out one sat to recce the route (early morning preferably)

Always happy to visit the third world, so I'd be interested but couldn't confirm until nearer the time.
