Oops, only just checked this thread for first time in ages - for some reason I wasn't subscribed to it 
- was reading through the posts, and was v pleased to see Gazzer had taken some firm action in settling the date for Sun, but now see from the last few posts we're up in the air again
Sat or Sun fine for me, and I think for other people position is as follows, please check and delete as appropriate:

Ok: DUCK MASSACRE IS DEFINITELY SUNDAY 7th OCTOBER
Reason: Sun 7th is also Goodwood Breakfast Club, Gone in 60 seconds theme http://www.goodwood.co.uk/breakfastclub/
So for those that want to, we'll go there first, then drive across Sussex to the lunch venue for about 12:30, probably a cross-country route avoiding A27.
