Got a viewing lined up for tomorrow. Having not owned one previously started checking the posts and came across the info regards engine issues! Scary stuff....

I've had a MY2008 just coming up a year now and have had no issues what-so-ever.
If it's been looked after, proper maintenance and services, then go for it.

Good luck with the purchase.

I've got one, after 7 years I'd expect any problems to have surfaced by now.

@MartinJ..Whats mileage are you at now?
Is likely that any such engine symptom would be picked up by a dealer when acquiring the vehicle as a part ex. Current owner purchased it from a Honda dealership.

As you know, I recently bought an 09, I have obtained 4 years' worth of warranty.

Quality of leather (vinyl) on this age of car is particularly poor! I think it was 2007 it went downhill dramatically.

As for the engine, always a gamble I guess.

I should expect the dodgy batch with reversed Belleville washers have mostly been identified by now.
