1 S02 punctured...
Thanks for the promo code will use it if I use them.
Going for 225 since thats the current size and the replacement size suggested by Bridgestone - I didn't know any other size would actually fit the alloy.

I believe the 225 S02's have the same amount of rubber on the ground as a 245 tyre. The reason why S02's are not great in the wet is due to the small water channels.
I think the forum recommend 245's if moving from S02's from any other tyres to match the amount of rubber on the ground.
I am not sure with the other Bridgestones however so it could be worth waiting till someone with more knowleage comes along to update.
I have just bought Toyo's T1-R's, you could save yourself a few quid and get these. They are about

I've already switched over to the new RE050As and you don't need to go to a 245 on that particular tyre.
You (blakpawn) have a 2003 model so I presume you have the 16" wheels. If the puncture can't be repaired, replace both back tyres with the new RE050s, they feel great and although I haven't had them in the wet yet, the tread pattern looks more up to the job!
You can leave the fronts alone, I haven't replaced them and there's nothing wrong with it!

Talking tyres, I'm sure you can get RE720's in the 205/55/16 size for the fronts.
They've the same compound as the S02, different tread pattern, and are very good in the wet. Might be a good compromise with RE050A's on the rear.
Any thoughts...

Why would you want to mix and match if you can get RE050s for the front?
Good tyres the RE720s. I did have them on my Primera, but unfortunately I replaced the fronts with RE88s and they're not nearly as good.
I wouldn't mind a set on the S for the road, but I'd wonder how they'd stand up to track abuse.
Update...just had a puncture repair at the local place, and you can get RE050A's front and rear in the stock sizes (in other words, the Bridgestone website's crap!)
Also, Bridgestone tell me the RE720 IS being discontinued, while the local place tell me it's not according to their system.
WTF?!?
Anyway, go for RE050A's - you know it makes sense...
