Hi peeps, new poster here, been looking at getting an s2000 for a while, test driven a few, fantastic cars.

Just wondered if i could get a bit of advice?

Im looking at getting a 2001 s2k which was registered in May 2001, Red, 51k Miles, Some Honda Service History, 5 Owners, k&n cold air intake, refurbished wheels, jus wondering what sort of money this car is worth?

Im looking at trading my 58 Plate Aprilia RSVR Mille towards it and been given a trade in price of

 

Sell the bike privately - RSV-R less than a year old should be worth more than

 

Also there are better deals for sale on here

 

I have a S2K March 2001 Red with 34k miles I would be very happy if I could get

I'm sure you could find a better deal than that atm and more than likley a lot closer to where you are.

I'd personally never do a deal without having a good old look at the car and a solid test drive.

It has 5 previous owners but i went to look at a local car up for 11k, 03 plate 61k miles, 2 owners and it was in a terrible condition, engine knocking like anything, wheels look like they had been touched up with hammerite and the car just generally not looked after.

I think 6k is a reasonable price trade in for my bike but obviously it is a false economy as i am paying over the odds for the car itself, it looks to have been advertised since February, and the dealer wont budge on the price

He is optimistic on the price especially considering his location.

I'd sell the bike privately now, wait until end of autumn and pick a bargain up over the winter!
