Default 2 boot-related problems!

Well, I finally decided to tuck my tools away in the spare wheel and take out the false boot floor, to get a bit more space in there. But I've run into two problems:

1) The bottom of the boot (under the false floor) is soaking wet, along with the CD changer, and I've no idea how. Although judging by the stale smell, it's been there a while. Anyone had a similar problem? I'm sure it can't have rusted through yet, it's only 2.5 yrs old!

2) When I changed my head unit, I obviously unplugged the Honda CD changer but stupidly left a few CDs in there . Is there any manual way of removing them!?

Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Chris

Do a search for the 'water boot'.

I've seen a couple of threads about it.

IIRC, the fault was a blocked drainage hole.

With the CD changer, I think it gets power from the HU, so unless you can rig up the HU, I guess the only other way would be to take the CD changer apart, or take it to a meet where someone one else can plug it into their car.

EDIT : Here's a link and another link and yet another one

Good Luck !
